Overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Winnipeg Jets and has developed into an elite player in the NHL. Following the draft, he attended the University of Michigan where he won a plethora of accolades including NCAA Top Collegiate Rookie, USA Hockey College Player of the Year, and was an NCAA (B1G) Champion. He spent the majority of his first professional season in the AHL before leading all NHL rookies in goals the next year.

Throughout his first five NHL seasons, Connor has surpassed the thirty-goal mark four times and is on pace to do so again this year. Last season he was selected to the NHL All-Star Game.
